Praxair Named to Dow Jones Sustainability Indices for 13th Consecutive Year

DANBURY, Conn.

Praxair, Inc. (NYSE: PX) was named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World and North American Indices for the 13th consecutive year, recognizing the company’s long-standing commitment to environmental and social responsibility. Praxair is the only U.S.-based company in the chemical sector to be selected for the World DJSI for this number of consecutive years.

In the Corporate Governance category, Praxair’s Board of Directors continued to demonstrate strong governance practices.
In Environmental Innovation, Praxair’s eco-portfolio, which consists of innovative applications that bring environmental benefits to customers, generated 32 percent of the company’s revenue or $3.9 billion. Additionally, Praxair technologies enabled at least two times more GHG to be avoided per year than were emitted in all the company’s operations.
