PPG Donates $5,000 to United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick

PPG (NYSE: PPG) today announced a $5,000 donation to the United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick. Made on behalf of PPG’s architectural coatings business, which operates a local distribution center, the grant will help the organization improve lives by offering programs that move people from poverty to possibility, strengthen communities, and ensure that children fulfill their potential.
“The United Way is grateful for this support from PPG,” said Debby McInnis, executive director, United Way of Greater Moncton and Southeastern New Brunswick. “We are dedicated to creating long-term, sustainable change, and each of our partners plays an important role in this mission.”
The United Way’s mission is to improve lives and build community by engaging individuals and mobilizing collective action. As part of this, it aims to help ensure children are ready and motived for lifelong learning, connecting them to positive adult influences, peers and activities that help them grow and support the community, as well as helping them get what they need to be healthy and make positive choices.
“Last year, we provided more than 2,500 kids in the Greater Moncton area with a place to go after school to connect with their peers, be themselves and get the support they needed to grow in a positive way,” McInnis said. “We are thankful for PPG’s contribution. With their help we are able to provide even more support for the children in our region.”
