MOUNT LAUREL, N.J.

PMC Group N.A., Inc. (“PMC”), a leader in the polymer additives industry, has demonstrated its ongoing commitment to the PVC industry – as well as a continued dedication to sustainable manufacturing processes and environmental stewardship – by joining the Vinyl Building Council.

The Vinyl Building Council (VBC) is the vinyl industry’s voice in advocating for vinyl building product solutions and protecting choice in materials for product manufacturers, builders and architects. The VBC’s core values include sustainable building design, defining ANSI standards for green building certification, and promoting the use of sound science.

PMC Group, a growth-oriented, diversified, global chemicals company dedicated to innovative solutions to everyday needs across multiple end markets, recently founded the Center for Vinyl Innovation (CVI) to develop responsible and cost-effective vinyl additive chemistry to support the formulation and processing of PVC and CPVC globally.

“The U.S. vinyl industry employs more than 350,000 and generates an economic value of more than $54 billion annually,” said Dr. Matthew Stershic, Global General Manager of PMC Organometallix, Inc. “Our scientists and chemists at the CVI provide expertise and perspective crucial to the advocacy initiatives of the VBC.”

Kevin Koonce, Executive Director of the VBC added: “We are pleased that PMC Group has joined our council. PMC’s Center for Vinyl Innovation provides a tremendous addition to the VBC’s membership base, and brings continued support for the VBC’s advocacy on behalf of the overall vinyl industry.”

PMC Group’s Vinyl Additives team works to optimize formulations and resolve processing problems for each customer’s specific requirements – in rigid and cellular PVC extrusion, compounding, injection molding and calendering processes. The CVI is fully staffed and equipped with analytical equipment for testing, research and new additive product development.

PMC’s Vinyl Additives team leverages the technologies and expertise across multiple business units to provide the vinyl industry with a broad range industry-leading products and technical services drawing from multiple technology platforms, including organometallics, renewable oleochemicals, waxes and lubricants to drive innovation for current and next-generation needs of the global PVC industry.

With product trade names such as ADVASTAB®, ADVAWAX®, ADVALUBE®, ADVAPAK®, Thermolite®, Baion® and CrystalWax®, PMC Group offers one of the broadest portfolio of vinyl additives in the industry — from methyl, butyl and octyl tin stabilizers and metallic stearates to a variety of specialty waxes and lubricants. These products are manufactured in the USA and made available in a variety of physical forms and types—custom blends, discrete components and one-packs.
