June 2, 2015 | By Business Wire News

NEWARK, N.J.

Panasonic System Communications Company of North America, a leading provider of technology solutions for government, enterprise, education, retail and SMB markets, today announced that Kay Stewart, Director of Channel, Computers and Tablets, Scanner and DMR, as well as Shantell Black, Director, Sales, Mobility & POS Business Operations Management, have been named to The Channel Company’s prestigious 2015 CRN® Women of the Channel. Additionally, Ms. Stewart has been recognized as one of this year’s Power 100. The annual list honors outstanding female executives across vendor channel organizations prominently involved in the IT channel ecosystem for their achievements and the far-reaching impact they are having on the technology industry going forward.

“We are a company that is deeply rooted in the channel and we understandour business is only as successful as our partners,” said Bill Brennan, vice president of Reseller Sales, Panasonic System Communications Company of North America. “Kay and Shantell play central roles in developing our channel strategy, ensuring the success of our partners and our company. We’re extremely pleased, and not at all surprised, they have been recognized for their hard work and dedication.”

This year’s Women of the Channel were carefully reviewed and selected by the editors of CRN based on their accomplishments and the influence they wield over the technology channel. The Power 100 spotlights an elite subset of Women of the Channel honorees whose insight and influence in their respective companies help drive channel success.

In the past year, Stewart and her team have achieved positive year-over-year growth in the mobile computing category for both the company and its top partner community. Additionally, the team worked to develop and launch channel incentive programs that focus on Panasonic’s most loyal partners, further increasing margins and encouraging the selling of service, solutions and multiple product lines.

Black and her team have helped deliver positive year-over-year growth in the channel for Panasonic’s mobile computing business. Additionally, they’ve streamlined order processing and enhanced the company’s external communications system, allowing resellers to communicate timely information with their customers.

“We applaud the exceptional contributions of the honorees in this year’s Women of the Channel. These executives have made a lasting mark on the industry by helping to shape the channel’s future,” said Robert Faletra, CEO, The Channel Company. “We are privileged to celebrate their far-reaching influence, innovation and commitment to the IT channel community.”

The Women of the Channel will be featured in the June issue of CRN, and online at www.CRN.com.
