NTRR Offers Cannabis Industry New Safeguards Against Pesticide Lawsuits

The U.S. cannabis industry was rocked this month when two consumers in Colorado filed a lawsuit against a cannabusiness they say used an unhealthy pesticide to grow their products. It’s a landmark case that lawyers say is the first product liability claim in the nation involving the cannabis industry. Neutra Corp. (OTCBB: NTRR) is marketing new non-toxic alternatives to help growers ensure that it’s also the last.

The chemical named in the lawsuit is Eagle 20 EW, a fungicide often used on grapes and hops to stave off mites, mildew and other pests. The suit claims the chemical could also be harmful to humans when used on a product that is later burned for inhalation. The case underscores disagreement over which chemicals should be allowed in cannabis cultivation, with the federal government offering no guidance on the matter.

NTRR is marketing new, potentially healthier alternatives to harsh chemicals.
