Nordson ASYMTEK Expands and Restructures Americas Sales Team

March 19, 2015 | By Business Wire News

CARLSBAD, Calif.

Nordson ASYMTEK, a Nordson company (NASDAQ: NDSN), a global leader in dispensing, jetting, and coating equipment and technologies, announces the expansion and restructuring of its Americas sales team. With the changes, Brad Perkins has been promoted to general manager, Americas, for Nordson ASYMTEK. Terry Wilde has taken on the position of regional sales manager, Mexico, and Chris Heesch is district sales manager for the Southwestern USA. All three have engineering backgrounds and are long-term industry experts whose technical and application knowledge will enable them to provide Nordson ASYMTEK’s customers with the dispensing and conformal coating equipment that’s best for their products.

Brad Perkins has been with Nordson ASYMTEK for 15 years, having held the positions of applications engineer, applications manager, and regional sales manager for the Southwestern USA and Latin America. Perkins has a deep understanding of current dispensing capabilities as well as those in development. His specialties are helping customers select equipment based on the dispensing application and providing creative solutions to liquid dispensing requirements.

Perkins has a BS in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University, San Jose, California and an MBA from Arizona State University, Phoenix, Arizona. Perkins will manage the sales and service teams for the Americas. He takes over from long-time Nordson ASYMTEK general manager of the Americas, Paul Gallo, who recently retired.

Terry Wilde has been with Nordson ASYMTEK for 18 years, working in manufacturing, field service, new product development, and sales support. As technical product specialist he customized equipment specifications for each customer’s order. The holder of several patents, he is an expert on optics and has been instrumental in the design and development of ASYMTEK’s automated dispensing equipment. His education includes accounting at Meramec Community College, St. Louis, Missouri and he is a licensed optician. As regional sales manager covering Mexico, he will work with customers from design-for-manufacturing through application support.

Chris Heesch has been in the electronics industry for 20 years, starting as a mechanical designer of hot bar bonding systems working for the DIMA Group, which was recently purchased by Nordson Corporation. He transitioned into sales of hot bar systems and then expanded his expertise into dispensing, welding, and SMT pick-and-place equipment sales. He earned a BS degree in industrial engineering and technology from San Diego State University, San Diego, California. He will cover the southwestern USA for sales of dispensing, conformal coating, and hot-bar soldering equipment.

“Working for Nordson ASYMTEK was my first job out of college and I’ve been here ever since,” said Perkins. “I have always admired the philosophy of the company, the emphasis on research and innovation to develop dispensing and coating systems that adapt to the changing world of technology, the focus on equipment that maximizes the manufacturing process, the consistently high quality of the products, and the applications service and support Nordson ASYMTEK provides its customers. Having Terry and Chris as part of the team is a testament to Nordson ASYMTEK’s forward-thinking values. They both have broad engineering and customer service experience which enables them to understand and deliver on customer expectations.”

The America’s sales team is rounded out by the highly experienced salesmen, Roy Ciardella, who has been with Nordson ASYMTEK for over 30 years and covers the northwest USA and British Columbia, Jerry Frost, who has been with Nordson since 1989 and covers the central USA and Canada, and Bernie McHugh, who celebrated his 37th anniversary with Nordson in January and covers the eastern USA.
