New Data Dimensions Five-Year Contract Allows Work with Veterans to Continue

December 14, 2015 | By Business Wire News

JANESVILLE, Wis.

Data Dimensions is proud to announce it has been awarded a five-year subcontract from its prime contractor, Systems Made Simple (SMS), a Lockheed Martin Company. SMS has subcontracted to Data Dimensions the Intake Conversion Mail Handling Services (ICMHS) contract with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, which will allow the Janesville-based company to continue to provide document-conversion services for the VA.

Data Dimensions has been providing such services since 2012, converting veterans’ records and claims forms into electronic files. This accelerates the processing of veterans’ disability claims, getting them the help they need more quickly and efficiently. The new contract takes effect when the current contract ends, on Dec. 31.

Jon Boumstein, President and CEO of Data Dimensions, said the new contract is evidence that both SMS and the VA are pleased with the services Data Dimensions has provided over the past three years, and the agreement points to a strong future for the company.

“The VA has great confidence in SMS and Data Dimensions, and they’ve recommitted to us for five years,” Boumstein said. “Things are great. We’re growing. We’re expanding,”

Earlier this year, Data Dimensions also was awarded another sub contact from SMS, for Digital Mail Handling Services (DMHS). Under the DMHS agreement, Data Dimensions provides leading-edge Enterprise Content Management software. This software accelerates the claims process by allowing VA offices across the country rapid access to veteran’s claims soon after they have been converted to electronic images. The DMHS contract leverages the new Dimensions360 platform, which is software designed and developed by Data Dimensions.

Combined, the ICMHS and DMHS contracts support more than 400 jobs in Janesville, WI, and Clinton, IA.

In addition to as many as 100 new jobs at Data Dimensions, the new contract means Data Dimensions will be adding a new 23,000-square foot-facility in Janesville for the storage of government records. Construction is slated to begin in the first quarter of 2016.

Boumstein said the new agreement will allow Data Dimensions to continue its mission to help veterans receive their benefits in a timely manner.

“The work we perform every day at Data Dimensions supports the VA’s efforts to significantly reduce the disability claims backlog,” Boumstein said. “That’s what is most important about the new contract. Our team members now have the opportunity to continue Data Dimensions’ mission to assist our veterans. This is a responsibility our team members take great pride in.”
