Mimosa Wins Industry Awards for Fastest and Best Backhaul Technology

SANTA CLARA, Calif.

Mimosa Networks, a cloud-managed gigabit wireless company, announced today that it received six prestigious industry awards. The accolades are for highest capacity device, lowest cost per megabit, best user interface, best functionality and feature set and best support. In addition, the company won Manufacturer of the Year for outstanding wireless broadband accomplishments, excellent customer service and contributions. The awards were announced at the WISPAPALOOZA trade show for Wireless Internet Service Providers (WISPs) and vendors last night.

Mimosa dominated the first annual WISPA awards, which recognize the “best-of-the-best” in the telecommunications WISP industry. The B5c won “Highest Throughput” with a demonstrated capacity of 1397 Mbps, and the B5-Lite won “Most Cost Effective Solution” with the lowest cost/ megabit in the industry at $0.42/Mb. Tests were conducted with 20 MHz, 40 MHz and 80 MHz channels using JDSU network testers and a MikroTik router traffic generator. Mimosa also won the “Best Support” category.

The WISPAPALOOZA show marked an important milestone for Mimosa, as in addition to the accolades for its unlicensed backhaul radio products, the Company also introduced its high performance and disruptively-priced B11 backhaul radio – the first in its portfolio of licensed products.
