Marxent Unveils Charitable Social Media Campaign to Raise Awareness of Wasted Sales Samples and the Power of Virtual Products

December 21, 2015
By Business Wire News

Marxent, the leader in virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) for enterprise retailers and manufacturers, today unveiled its holiday charitable campaign, #SaveTheSamples. Marxent is urging consumers who have recently completed a home improvement project to photograph old paint swatches, wallpaper books, carpet squares and flooring samples and share the photos with the hashtag #SaveTheSamples. For every photo shared on Twitter or Instagram, Marxent will donate $10 to the American Red Cross.

The#SaveTheSamples campaign raises awareness of the abandoned samples that linger long after home improvement projects have been completed. Marxent’s VisualCommerce™ platform, a fully-featured 3D virtual reality design studio and showroom for retailers and manufacturers, makes physical samples obsolete as entire global inventories can now live in virtual and augmented reality and be accessed by shoppers through innovative design apps. Retailers and manufacturers are now able to eliminate the marketing cost of producing physical samples, reduce their environmental footprint and clean up the clutter in their customers’ homes.

From now until January 21, 2016, consumers can upload their photos and help shed light on the problem of abandoned samples this holiday season, paving the way for 2016 to become the year of the greener, more immersive virtual showroom.
