Lighting Science Group Appoints Pete Rumsey as Executive Vice President of Business Development

Global LED manufacturer Lighting ScienceGroup Corporation (OTCQB:LSCG) announces the appointment today of Pete Rumsey as Executive Vice President of Business Development. Mr. Rumsey brings over two decades of proven commercial, marketing and operational experience to his new role. Reporting directly to Lighting Science CEO Ed Bednarcik, Pete will be working with the executive team to direct the company’s commercial business development ventures and bring Lighting Science’s innovative LED product assortment to the forefront of the global commercial market.

Mr. Rumsey joins Lighting Science from B2Q Technologies, where he served as a Co-Founder and Principal, in charge of global sales and marketing initiatives for the entire organization. With established and recognized success in corporate growth, expansion, start-ups and turn-around organizations, Mr. Rumsey’s background includes many prominent senior management roles such as: Boston-Power as Chief Customer Officer & VP Global Sales, Marketing and Service; Wright Line/Eaton Corp. as VP of Sales and Marketing, where he was instrumental in its sale to Eaton Corp.; American Power Conversion (APC), with influential sales, marketing and global operational positions over his 14 year tenure as Executive Vice President of Global Sales, VP of Global Enterprise Solutions Group, General Manager and Vice President of Asia and Latin America, and Director of Global Strategic Partnerships; Equity National as Chief Operating Officer; and Whydata as VP of Customer Engagement. Mr. Rumsey also served as a Captain in the United States Air Force Intelligence Command’s Electronic Warfare Center (AFEWC) during Desert Storm and Desert Shield, and was the recipient of both the Meritorious Service and Air Force Achievement Medals.
