ITT Enidine’s New Product Offerings Featured on First Flight of Bell 525 Relentless

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y.

ITT Corporation’s (NYSE: ITT) Enidine brand achieved a milestone with a key partner when its rotorcraft product offerings were featured on the first test flight of Bell Helicopter’s 525 Relentless. The innovative technology reduces noise and vibration, providing a more comfortable passenger ride and extending the lifespan of rotorcraft components.

Enidine’s close collaboration with Bell Helicopter made it possible to quickly deliver a customized, robust, reliable and highly engineered solution. “Daily communication with Bell Helicopter, suppliers and mold houses allowed us to cut production time to meet the tight deadline presented,” said Ryan Evans, Aerospace Product Manager with ITT’s Control Technologies business. “Instead of serving solely as an external vendor, Enidine delivered hands-on service and functioned as an extension of the Bell Helicopter engineering team. Enidine’s dedication to building strong relationships and our ability to develop, manufacture and test in-house, allowed us to cut production time by 60 percent and meet Bell Helicopter’s deadline.”

The Bell 525 Relentless successfully achieved its first flight July 1, 2015. The maiden flight took place at the company’s Amarillo, Texas, facility. A video of the experience is available here and more information on the Bell 525 Relentless is available on its website.

“The Bell 525 performed extremely well today,” said Troy Caudill, senior flight test pilot at Bell Helicopter. “I am excited to be a part of the development of this advanced aircraft and help define the future of vertical lift.”

ITT Aerospace Controls has also worked with the Bell 525 team since the project’s inception on fuel system solutions. Aerospace Controls’ customizable flow control and actuator products are built into the fuel control systems of all Bell 525 models.
