IEEE Power & Energy Society Unveils New Online Resource Center Featuring E-commerce Capabilities and Access to Industry Research

December 2, 2015 | By Business Wire News

PISCATAWAY, N.J.

IEEE, the world’s largest professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for humanity, today announced that the IEEE Power & Energy Society’s online PES Resource Center has been re-launched with new e-commerce capabilities that will allow non-members to access individually-priced industry tutorials, videos, presentations, and technical reports, for a nominal fee.

“Over the past year, we’ve seen a dramatic increase for requests for our technical reports, tutorials and more,” said Dr. Luis (Nando) Ochoa, Senior Lecturer in Smart Distribution Networks, The University of Manchester, and IEEE PES Governing Board member. “While the Resource Center has been an outstanding IEEE PES member benefit, and will remain as such, we want to provide access for the entire industry – not just IEEE PES members – to all valuable content. The introduction of e-commerce features has made this possible, selling individually priced files for download.”

The IEEE PES Resource Center provides hundreds of items, including technical reports, videos, tutorials, and presentations, slides and reports from IEEE PES conferences and events. For more information and access to the Resource Center, visit http://resourcecenter.ieee-pes.org.
