Hexion Releases 2014 Sustainability Report

COLUMBUS, Ohio

Hexion Inc. (“Hexion” or the “Company”) today announced the publication of its 2014 sustainability report entitled, “Sustainability 2014.” The report can be found in the sustainability section of the Hexion website.

The report highlights a number of operational and environmental improvements as a result of Hexion’s environmental initiatives. One trend is an improvement in the reduction of spills and releases captured in our secondary containment systems, in addition to other items recognized as environmental events. Hexion has experienced a decrease of 46 percent in the number of environmental events in 2014 compared to 2012 and the number of events fell by 68 percent from 2008 to 2014.

The report focuses on three areas of sustainability: operational excellence; product innovation; and corporate social responsibility. It provides readers with insight into Hexion’s community involvement and provides metrics surrounding greenhouse gas emissions, energy efficiency, total carbon footprint, and safety performance.
