In addition to launching a series of hauler-focused videos, Tony Stewart’s No. 14 Chevrolet SS will sport a special paint scheme. Rush Truck Centers will adorn the hood as the co-primary sponsor with Mobil Delvac 1™ on the B-pillar and lower-rear quarter panel. For this single race, the Mobil Delvac 1 logos replace the Mobil 1™ logos on Stewart’s Chevy.

“Many of our trucking customers are passionate fans of Stewart-Haas Racing and Tony Stewart,” said W. M. “Rusty” Rush, chairman, chief executive officer and president of Rush Enterprises, Inc. “We’re proud to join Stewart-Haas Racing to celebrate the important work truckers do every day.”

The special No. 14 Chevrolet SS paint scheme coincides with the latest installment of Mobil Delvac’s “Behind the Wheel”— an online video series honoring the men and women who dedicate their lives to driving across America to deliver goods and services. In this episode, “Trucking #14,” fans are introduced to the No. 14 team’s hauler driver Ken Gober who captains the truck from coast to coast, delivering all the necessary driving equipment and supplies for each race weekend. Rush Truck Centers provided the Peterbilt to Stewart-Haas Racing while ExxonMobil provides Mobil Delvac 1, ensuring the truck is operating at peak performance.

“The ‘Behind the Wheel’ series engages NASCAR fans and our commercial vehicle customers, giving a glimpse into the daily lives of American truck drivers,” said Artis M. Brown, global motorsports manager at ExxonMobil. “Each installment offers a new appreciation for truck drivers and shows the passion they have for being on the road.”

To salute Gober and the hard work of truckers across America, ExxonMobil and Rush Truck Centers have also released a lighthearted video dubbed “Hauler Holler” in which Stewart enthusiastically gives Gober the well-known arm motion that wordlessly asks truck drivers to honk their horn. The video is a nod to the importance of hauler drivers in NASCAR and truck drivers to the American economy. Using the #HaulerHoller hashtag on social media, fans can participate in the fun by posting their own horn request or an image of their pristine truck.

Beginning April 6, “Trucking #14” and “Hauler Holler” will be available on Rush Truck Centers and ExxonMobil social media properties — the Mobil Delvac website and YouTube channel; Rush Truck Centers’ Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages; as well as mobile app and websites for Rush Truck Centers, Rush Truck Centers Racing and Rush Enterprises. Fans can also catch earlier segments of “Behind the Wheel” on the Mobil Delvac website and YouTube channel.

“I don’t think people realize how critical truck drivers are to our everyday lives,” Stewart said. “Without them, America’s economy would come to a standstill. Without Gober, I wouldn’t have a car to drive this weekend. So, it feels good to shine the spotlight on them and the great driving they do.”

The trucking industry remains vital to the U.S. economy. According to the American Trucking Associations “American Trucking Trends,” trucks move nearly 70 percent of all domestic freight tonnage. Trucks are also responsible for the majority of trade among the North American Free Trade Partners (NAFTA), with trucking trade hauling 59.9 percent of all trade with Canada and Mexico, accounting for $348.7 billion in imports and $365.9 billion in exports, per the DOT’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics. At the same time, the average NASCAR hauler driver makes more than 35 annual round-trips between home base in Charlotte and the nation’s NASCAR tracks, logging more than 50,000 road miles.

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway begins at 7:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday, April 11, 2015 and will be broadcast live on FOX and PRN radio.
