HARMAN Announces Collaboration with Renesas to Deliver a Complete In-Vehicle Network Solution to the Automotive Industry

HARMAN (NYSE:HAR), the leading global infotainment, audio and software services company, today announced a joint collaboration with Renesas to deliver an in-vehicle network solution and premium entertainment experience that helps automakers take the driving to higher levels of safety and convenience. Renesas’ premium and mid-range R-Car series of automotive infotainment Systems-on-Chip (SoC) devices featuring HARMAN’s Ethernet AVB in-vehicle network solution are now available.

HARMAN’s suite of services for automakers supports an end-to-end approach to upgrade, connect, and improve the automotive ownership experience. The HARMAN Ethernet AVB in-vehicle network solution provides an affordable, scalable, flexible, robust and security guaranteed in-vehicle network that helps automotive customers tackle the cost and complexity challenges involved in delivering next-generation in-vehicle-infotainment solutions.
