H.C. Spinks Clay Announces Price Increase

PARIS, Tenn.

Ron Thompson, President and CEO of Lhoist North America, Ft. Worth, Texas, has announced that H.C. Spinks Clay Company, a division of Lhoist North America located in Paris, Tennessee, will implement a general price increase effective January 1, 2016. Pricing of airfloated ball clay products will be increased 5.0-9.0%, mechanically dried products 3.0-9.0% and shredded products 5-10%.These increases are subject to contractual commitments already in place.

Mr. Thompson states that these increases are necessary to support H.C. Spinks Clay’s long term investment in production capabilities, quality control, environmental and regulatory compliance, maintenance and new product development.

H.C. Spinks Clay is a privately owned producer of ball clay and kaolin founded in 1916, with operations in Paris and Gleason, Tennessee.
