Gabrielle Union Joins Covet Fashion as the Latest Covet Host

By PRN NewsWire

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ — Mobile styling app Covet Fashion today reveals award-winning actress and style icon Gabrielle Union as its latest “Covet Host.” As Covet Fashion’s featured star for the next month, fans and fashion enthusiasts will have direct access to Gabrielle’s personal style and fashion tips, as well as get intimate look inside her day-to-day activities as they style an avatar of the actress with clothing and accessories from over 175 real-world fashion brands.

Gabrielle joins Covet Fashion as its second Covet Host, following an overwhelmingly successful launch in December with Emma Roberts, which immediately ran up the top grossing charts and gained the star over 125 million in-app impressions. Unlike other apps that highlight a single celebrity for their lifetime, the Covet Fashion Host program features a different celebrity each month, creating a modern and interactive take on the traditional cover girl seen in magazines. The unique initiative enhances how celebrities and fans connect, as consumers get to interact directly with celebrities and get inspiration from their personal style, learn about their upcoming projects and connect with their stories.

“I am absolutely thrilled to partner with Covet because it’s pioneering a new way to engage with my fans and share my passion for style while also giving them a glimpse into my very busy life,” said Gabrielle Union. “For me, fashion reveals so much about an individual, so whether I am on the red carpet or running errands, I am very conscious of how my style reflects my personality. I cannot wait to see how the community experiments with my outfits during the style challenges!”

“Gabrielle embodies the perfect Covet Host as she is not only a fashion icon, but she is driven, intelligent and an inspiring role model who motivates women with both her forward-thinking and her chic style,” said SVP, GM of Covet Fashion Blair Ethington. “We are eager to introduce her formidable and faithful fans to Covet and allow them to connect with her in this way!”

Alongside the longstanding and direct relationships with both contemporary and high contemporary fashion brands including Calvin Klein, Yigal Azrouel and Zimmermann, Covet Fashion continues to forge partnerships with companies in and outside of the fashion world including The Coveteur, The Council of Fashion Designers of America and the Pharrell Williams-produced movie, Dope.
