In addition to streamlining access to the software, the new Google Chrome app enhances convenience by syncing Freightview across desktop Chrome browsers.

“Our goal is to create a freight booking experience that feels effortless and fits into the way our customers already do business,” said Jason Roberts, Freightview co-founder. “We know a lot of our customers already use Chrome, so making the shipping process even easier by creating an app was a natural next step.”

Freightview’s Google Chrome app is another example of how the company is revolutionizing freight transportation by improving communications and the ease-of-doing-business between carriers and shippers. The cloud-based application is accessible from anywhere with an internet connection. Customers also have access to Freightview’s API and plugins to integrate freight rating, booking and tracking into their website and applications.

Freightview is designed for businesses that ship five to 25 less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments per day per location and want to maintain their direct carrier relationships. The software helps businesses increase employee productivity by reducing time spent on shipping activities, and arming them with the data needed to negotiate better rates, ensure accountability, and uncover additional savings.

The new Google Chrome app for Freightview is available on the Chrome Web Store. To install, click the blue “free” button, then click “add”. The Freightview app will be added to the Apps link in your shortcut bar. Visit to request a demo or start a free, no-risk 30-day trial.

About Freightview
Freightview is the first-to-market online freight management software of its kind. It redefines small and medium-sized businesses’ relationship with shipping by streamlining quoting, booking, tracking and reporting. Employees ship freight in a fraction of the time, and managers gain control and visibility of shipping operations.

Freightview was developed in 2013 as a project of Freightquote, an online transportation broker. It launched to the public in April 2014 and spun off as a separate company that September. In January 2015, Freightview was acquired by global third party logistics provider C.H. Robinson.
