Freedom Innovations Expands Irvine Facility to Accommodate Growth

IRVINE, Calif.

Freedom Innovations, an Irvine, California-based leader in advanced technology prosthetic devices for lower limb amputees, has expanded its headquarters with the construction of a new 3,500 sq. ft. state-of-the-art manufacturing facility which will provide the next generation of microprocessor controlled and powered prosthetic ankles and knees.

To celebrate, the company held a reception and a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, February 27th, which was attended by Steven S. Choi, Ph.D., City of Irvine Mayor and other local dignitaries.

Freedom Innovations’ Chairman and CEO, Maynard Carkhuff announced the company currently employs 152 employees and will hire more than 30 new employees this year to support the continued growth.

Freedom develops, manufactures, and distributes technically advanced lower limb prosthetics in over 40 countries. The company grew revenue by over 15% in 2014 and anticipates continued strong growth in 2015 and beyond.

Freedom Innovations is headquartered in a 41,000 sq. ft. facility in Irvine, California, has a 26,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and distribution facility in Gunnison, Utah, and a sales and marketing distribution center in Enschede, The Netherlands.
