FLEXcon to Participate in Panel Discussion at 2016 NASA Technology Day

FLEXcon, an innovator in adhesive coating and laminating, today announced it will be participating in a panel discussion at the 2016 NASA Technology Day, taking place on May 24, 2016 at the Glenn Research Center in Cleveland, Ohio. FLEXcon’s Ken Koldan, Director of the OEM Business team, will be participating in the panel discussion, along with Tim Burbey, President of Blueshift International Materials Inc.

What:

The session, titled “How to License Glenn Technologies”, will focus on the NASA licensing process and how to gain access and rights to evaluate patent pending Glenn technologies. As part of the panel discussion, Koldan will highlight FLEXcon’s license agreement with NASA and how it has enabled the company and Blueshift to provide solutions with polyimide aerogels. He will share key benefits of the partnership including access to NASA’s unique facilities and the ability to market polyimide aerogels for many aerospace applications – such as insulation for cryotanks and spacesuits, as well as uses in radar, refrigeration and pipe insulation. Additionally, Koldan will touch on how the partnership has helped further advance research and development efforts for commercializing polyimide aerogel technology.
