Around 150 people related to construction and interior industries attended the launching event at Silla Stay, Gangnam, expressing their great impression about ‘Supreme’ saying “nobody would imagine Supreme is solid surface unless informed.”
‘Supreme’ is solid surface, which was developed to maximize the features of natural stones with the new pattern. It features the luxurious and genuine color and wave pattern of the natural marble.
Like other solid surface products previously developed by Samsung SDI, ‘Supreme’ is contamination-free and has a wide range of applications. Especially, ‘Supreme’ is the result of R&D to maximize the aesthetic factor of the product.
The existing solid surfaces were mostly designed with simple and artificial patterns. Thanks to its accumulated skills and know-hows, Samsung SDI successfully created the new solid surface with the natural pattern which is hard to distinguish from the genuine natural stones.
Reflecting the latest trend of home and office interiors, Samsung SDI launches a series of ‘Supreme’ products with 10 difference colors, which will satisfy various customers, this September.
Using its in-house technology, Samsung SDI launched its own solid surface brand ‘Staron’ in 1992, and ‘Supreme’ is one of premium products of ‘Staron’. ‘Staron’ is a homogenous material with strong resistance to chemicals and pollution and has excellent dimensional flexibility. In 2007 the glittering solid surface, ‘Tempest’, which contains the jewelry like transparent chips, was unveiled in the market. In 2009, the premium engineered stone ‘Radianz’ was launched and appealed to the high-end interior material market.
In the opening day, Vincent Gregoire, the general director of the worldwide French design trend consulting firm Nelly-Rodi, had a speech on the design trend and showed great expectation on ‘Supreme.’
