FABTECH Mexico, the leading manufacturing event in Latin America for metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing industries, brought the latest innovations in manufacturing to Mexico City’s Centro Banamex on May 4 – 6, 2016, and broke attendance records this year by welcoming over 12,500 attendees and 550 exhibitors during the three-day show.

Spanning over 146,000 net square feet of exhibit space, the eighth edition of FABTECH Mexico provided attendees the opportunity to see live demonstrations, explore the latest manufacturing and welding technologies, meet with industry experts and attended educational sessions. Educational sessions covered technical topics such as automation, cutting, forming and fabricating, lasers, lean management, software, stamping and welding.

“The growth of FABTECH Mexico over the past few years has been impressive,” said Joe Krall, managing director, North American sales, American Welding Society. “Giving businesses and customers the opportunity to come together at one place to learn, network, explore new products and technology and make lasting connections is what has made this show the largest of its kind in Latin America.”

The annual show is comprised of four co-located shows, FABTECH Mexico encompasses metal forming and fabricating as well as tube and pipe technology, AWS Weldmex features welding technology, METALFORM Mexico highlights metal forming and tool and die technology and COATech focuses on finishing technology. It is sponsored by SME, The Fabricators & Manufacturers Association (FMA), the American Welding Society (AWS), the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) and the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI).

The show rotates each year between Monterrey and Mexico City. The next event will be held May 2-4, 2017 in Monterrey. To learn more about FABTECH Mexico, visit
