ErgoGenesis Launches BodyBilt Guide, the First Sit-Stand Document Holder

NAVASOTA, Texas

Navasota-based ErgoGenesis Workplace Solutions, LLC, the nationwide manufacturer and distributor of BodyBilt ergonomic seating and accessories, has introduced the BodyBilt Guide, the world’s first sit-stand document holder designed to move with your height-adjustable monitor. The lightweight BodyBilt Guide moves in tandem with the monitor arm and keeps the alignment of the source document positioned in line with the monitor, eliminating the need for repetitive lateral head movement and maximizing the workspace. This new product provides an ergonomic solution to maintain a good visual posture effortlessly for those adjusting their work environment using sit-stand components or others working at stationary desks.

The positioning of the BodyBilt Guide below the monitor reduces the risk of neck, shoulder and upper back stress that would be inherent with traditional document holders that remain stationary on the work surface as the monitor arm rises. Keeping the source document with the monitor minimizes eye movement between the document and monitor, resulting in more relaxed eyes, which may improve output. The BodyBilt Guide is made of durable components and is designed for quick installation onto existing monitor arms and comfortable viewing. It accommodates documents of varying sizes, and incorporates multiple points of adjustment for size, angle and position.

ErgoGenesis manufactures and delivers products that advance workplace comfort and productivity. The American Medical Association recommends alternative means to prolonged sitting like sit-stand desks. “Although much attention is given to seated posture, other postures play a vital role in a comfortable work environment,” says Bernie Lynch, President of ErgoGenesis. “Visual posture should not be ignored, along with keyboarding and mousing postures. The BodyBilt Guide addresses visual posture in a way that allows flexibility and adjustability that are important in most work environments.”
