RF Digital announced today it has added Dr. Michael (Mike) Foley, former Executive Director of the Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG), to the RF Digital team. Foley brings extensive foundational experience with wireless communication systems, including Bluetooth 4.0 and low energy, and will be working in the core RF Digital Simblee team.

Prior to joining RF Digital, Michael W. Foley, Ph.D. served as Executive Director for the Bluetooth SIG, Inc. from 2004 – 2012. In this role, Foley oversaw all aspects of the SIG including specification publication, qualification and testing programs, marketing initiatives, member relations, and regulatory efforts. During his term at the helm of Bluetooth SIG, the technology and organization saw unprecedented growth.
