Demand Management Speeds Time to Value with Demand Solutions SaaS

September 10, 2015 | By Business Wire News

ST. LOUIS

Demand Management, Inc., a leading global resource for supply chain management solutions, announced today its collaboration with Microsoft to deliver the Demand Solutions SaaS solution built on Azure. Demand Solutions SaaS delivers full supply chain planning functionality in a solution that’s hosted outside the corporate firewall, and relieves IT staffs of the burden of performing updates and fixes.

To give customers the highest levels of reliability, the Demand Solutions cloud supply chain management solution is hosted on Azure. This platform has already helped thousands of developers build, deploy, and manage applications in trusted Microsoft-managed datacenters. Azure offers a 99.95% monthly SLA, automatic operating system and service patching, load balancing, and resiliency in the event of hardware failure.

“Our customers expect their mission-critical supply chain applications to be available when they need them,” says Bill Harrison, president of Demand Management. “We’ve spent 30 years looking for ways to continue exceeding those expectations. We chose Azure as our development platform because it represents the industry standard in reliability and scalability.”

Demand Solutions SaaS is designed for manufacturers and distributors that want to streamline and enhance their supply chain planning processes without having to build and maintain complex IT infrastructures. With Demand Solutions SaaS, companies can gain access to the full functionality of the on-premises solution, but without making an up-front investment in software licenses and hardware.

“In growing competitive environments, today’s manufacturers and distributors are looking to solutions such as Demand Solutions SaaS to help them enhance their supply chain processes without making a big up-front investment,” said Nicole Herskowitz, Senior Director of Marketing, Microsoft Azure. “We are pleased that Demand Management is using Azure to make their solution available to companies around the globe.”

Azure is Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, a growing collection of integrated services—analytics, computing, database, mobile, networking, storage, and web—for moving faster, achieving more, and saving money. Any developer or IT professional can be productive with Azure. Azure’s integrated tools, pre-built templates, and managed services make it easier to build and manage enterprise, mobile, web, and Internet of Things (IoT) apps faster, using skills developers and IT professionals already have and technologies they already know. Microsoft is also the only vendor positioned as a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrants for Cloud Infrastructure as a Service, Application Platform as a Service, and Cloud Storage Services for the second consecutive year.
