Concurrent Appoints Scott Ryan As Senior Vice President, Storage Solutions

June 3, 2015 | By Business Wire News

ATLANTA

Concurrent (NASDAQ:CCUR), a global provider of high-performance Linux® and storage solutions, today announces the appointment of Scott Ryan as Senior Vice President of the company’s storage solutions business. Reporting to Concurrent’s President and CEO, Derek Elder, Ryan will be responsible for expanding the market opportunities for the company’s growing software-defined storage products and overseeing the product roadmap and architecture.

“Customers are demanding new solutions that bridge the performance gap between proprietary storage products that are high-performance, but come with a hefty price tag and less-expensive open source solutions that don’t meet performance expectations,” said Derek Elder. “Scott brings the experience, expertise, and entrepreneurial energy necessary to drive growth and innovation in our software-defined storage portfolio.”

Most recently, Ryan was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at the Advanced Technology Development Center (ATDC), one of the most successful non-profit technology incubators in the United States. Prior, Ryan founded and was CEO of Asankya, a WAN optimization solution provider, which was acquired by EMC. He has also held senior leadership positions at North Highland, Incanta, and Nortel Networks. He has Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Master of Business Administration degrees from Vanderbilt University.

“I am honored to join the Concurrent team during an exciting time of innovation and change in the storage and infrastructure solution space,” said Scott Ryan. “I look forward to building on Concurrent’s momentum as the team continues to develop and sell trusted, innovative software storage solutions on which our customers rely.”
