At the 90th Annual World Trade Week Kickoff Breakfast on May 3rd in downtown Los Angeles, two clients of California Manufacturing Technology Consulting® (CMTC) were honored. Micronova Manufacturing, Inc. in Torrance and Combustion Associates, Inc. in Corona both received the Export Achievement award.

More than 700 people attended the kickoff breakfast with keynote speaker Alan F. Horn, Chairman, The Walt Disney Studios, Mayor Eric Garcetti, U.S. Representative Ed Royce, and Emcee David Ono, Co-Anchor of ABC News.

Representatives from the private sector, government, economic development agencies and trade representatives from over 80 countries attended the largest event yet.

Micronova, recognizing the need for tools to address critical cleaning functions in aerospace and military installations developed a range of cleanroom mops, wipers and detergents to serve the emerging cleanroom industry. “Our team is very excited to have received this prestigious award,” stated Deborah Leonard, VP & Manager – Europe, at Micronova Manufacturing, Inc.

Micronova completed CMTC’s ExporTech™ Program that assists manufacturers in developing and implementing an export strategy. This program has further increased their already substantial export sales and aided Micronova in building new markets in Europe, India and the Pacific Rim.

Combustion Associates, Inc. offers a wide array of packaged combustion and gas turbine-power generation systems, both skid-mounted and stationary, which are cost-effective and energy-efficient without compromising quality or effectiveness. Combustion Associates has realized significant sales growth across global markets.

“CMTC’s assistance made it possible for our company to apply and be selected for this Export achievement award,” added Kusum Kavia, President, Combustion Associates, Inc.
