This highly anticipated event will share real world examples and case studies of how Big Data is being leveraged to address critical issues and opportunities shaping the health care industry today. The event will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at the global headquarters of CAS (2540 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43202) from 8:00 am – 5:30 pm.

Industry leaders from Cardinal Health, CAS, Cleveland Clinic, Columbus Collaboratory, Data2Discovery, The Max Planck Institute, The Ohio State University, Rev1 Ventures, Signet-Accel, and more will explore how Big Data is being used to solve some of the world’s top health care challenges. CAS and BioOhio are committed to the health care and bioscience industries in Ohio and the world over, supporting organizations and companies around the Buckeye State and across the globe that are leading major research and discoveries.

Ohioans are curing debilitating pediatric diseases, creating less invasive surgical tools, formulating cleaner and more efficient biofuels, programming highly accurate diagnostic imaging techniques, improving provider processes to reduce patient costs, and personalizing medication delivery for individual patients. These are just a few examples of what Ohio’s bioscience companies are doing each day across the state.

“As CAS is becoming more involved in the bioscience and health care discovery space, we appreciate the opportunity to further enhance our partnership with a like-minded organization such as BioOhio, to tackle some of the biggest health care questions facing our state, the nation and the globe,” said Manuel Guzman, President, CAS. “Through this event, we are in a unique position to discuss the latest transformative bioscience discoveries in Ohio.”

“We couldn’t be more excited and pleased to build on our longtime relationship with CAS,” said John F. Lewis, Jr., President & CEO, BioOhio. “We’ll have some of the brightest minds in health care discovery at the event – people on the leading edge of efforts to find data-driven solutions to health care challenges.
