Caloris Engineering, LLC Strengthens West Coast Presence

August 6, 2015 | By Business Wire News

MODESTO, Calif.

Caloris Engineering, LLC, an Easton, Md.-based provider of advanced thermal process systems and wastewater treatment systems to the food, chemical and other manufacturing industries, has expanded its presence in California to better serve the needs of processors on the West Coast.

Caloris Senior Process Engineer Matthew Brunton recently relocated to Modesto, Calif. Brunton began working for Caloris in 2007 and has assisted with many evaporator installations and rebuilds up and down the West Coast during his tenure with the company. He has a B.S. degree in chemical engineering.

Harbans Kohli has joined Caloris as a Representative, based in the Los Angeles area. Kohli brings more than 35 years of direct membrane system experience, including (most recently) 15 years with H2O Innovation. Kohli will assist with Caloris’ marketing and sales efforts. He has a M.S. in physical chemistry.

Brunton and Kohli join current Caloris West Coast Representative Jeff Podesto, who has assisted Caloris customers on the West Coast for many years. Podesto holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering.

“With the establishment of our new West Coast offices, Caloris will be able to respond faster to the needs of our current customers, and to inquiries from potential customers, in the Western United States,” said Jim Peterson, president of Caloris. “The combined skills of Matthew Brunton, Harbans Kohli and Jeff Podesto create a solid technical knowledge base to support processors in need of traditional process-stream evaporation assistance as well as water and wastewater treatment assistance up and down the West Coast.”

For almost a decade, Caloris engineers have developed advanced-technology evaporators and other thermal processing equipment for processing fruit juices and dairy products, concentrating byproducts of ethanol production, and treating industrial waste streams. Caloris’ highly energy efficient mechanical vapor recompression (MVR) systems treat industrial wastewater, recover clean water and minimize the waste to zero liquid discharge (ZLD). Caloris’ new reverse osmosis and membrane treatment options assist with processing high solids streams. Caloris can design custom-engineered evaporators to suit any application. In addition, Caloris has pre-engineered compact evaporators and mobile evaporators. Field services for installation, commissioning and maintenance are also offered to Caloris customers.
