Bemis Company Announces Timothy M. Manganello as Chairman of the Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Bemis Company, Inc. (NYSE: BMS) has elected Timothy M. Manganello, age 65, as Bemis Company’s non-executive Chairman of the Board. Mr. Manganello has been a Director of Bemis since 2004 and has served as the independent Lead Director of the Board since 2013.

Mr. Manganello served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BorgWarner Inc. (NYSE: BWA) from 2003 through 2012 and retired as Executive Chairman in 2013. BorgWarner is a leader in highly engineered components and systems for vehicle powertrain applications worldwide. Mr. Manganello was previously Chairman of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago – Detroit Branch and is currently a Director of Delphi Automotive PLC (NYSE: DLPH), a global automotive parts supplier.

Mr. Manganello offers the Board valuable experience in long-term strategic planning, international acquisition integration, operations management, labor relations, engineering-based research and development, capital markets financing, and financial performance measurement.

Mr. Manganello replaces Henry J. Theisen as Chairman, upon Mr. Theisen’s planned retirement from Bemis’ Board of Directors. The Board expresses its gratitude and sincere appreciation to Mr. Theisen for his leadership and service during his nearly 40-year career with Bemis.
