June 7, 2016 | By Business Wire News

ST. LOUIS

Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, will demonstrate several ways to increase the reliability of AV installations at InfoComm 2016, held at the Las Vegas Convention Center from June 8-10.

If having to carry too many tools is weighing you down or having to remember multiple termination processes is frustrating you, Belden has been carefully listening to your concerns. Recognizing your need for easily deployable solutions that save time and money, Belden worked side by side with integrators to engineer a new product that fits real needs. With six patents pending, this new product will totally change the way you think about connectors. Visit Belden booth #C7718 for an exclusive preview. Share your opinion, and be entered to win one of several daily prizes.

From 12:30pm to 2pm on Wednesday, June 8, Bob Ferguson, Belden AV Sales Engineer, will lead a presentation entitled A Twist on Category Cable: Installation, Termination and Testing. Attendees will discover the differences between Category cables, learn ways to avoid the biggest cable installation mistakes and participate in hands-on termination training. This session is now sold out, but interested participants may stop by the booth for a brief summary or to schedule on-site training at their facility.

When AV professionals visit the Belden booth, they will have a chance to see for themselves what Belden has been testing in its HDBaseT Interoperability Lab. Testing a variety of active electronics has demonstrated a wide variation in design both across brands and within a single brand’s portfolio. Belden has completed extensive testing to identify the true cabling needs of 4K over HDBaseT systems and optimize cabling and connectivity to maximize performance. Attendees can register at the booth to receive a complete testing report that shows recommended distance by extender model.

Belden’s booth will also feature products, including:

  • 10GXS Category 6A Cables, which accommodate tight spaces and bends thanks to a 25% reduction in cable diameter and weight
  • Molded HDMI, DVI and VGA Assemblies, UL listed and available in a variety of lengths
  • Workstation Outlets, a variety of faceplate and inserts that provide maximum flexibility, durability and aesthetics
  • SecurePatch Enclosures, locking rackmount covers which safeguard against unauthorized access
  • Cable Runways, designed to optimize cable bandwidth and allow maximum cabling density
  • FX Brilliance Universal Connectors that make fiber termination possible in seconds.

Only Belden’s solutions take a universal approach to resolving signal transmission needs with IP- and legacy-based solutions that enable a smooth migration to convergence. Belden’s extensive portfolio spans broadcast, AV, LAN, data centers, building automation and security to keep information running smoothly. Outstanding global service and support capabilities and application-specific warranty programs complete Belden’s unique offering.
