Ayla Networks to Share IoT Platform Expertise at IoT Evolution Connected Home Conference

Ayla Networks executives are sharing some of their company’s hard-won expertise in the Internet of Things (IoT) in general, and the connected home in particular, during multiple sessions at the upcoming IoT Evolution Expo, being held July 11 to 14, 2016, in Las Vegas.

The IoT Evolution Expo encompasses four co-located conferences, including the Connected Home & Building Conference. With an overall goal of “driving business transformation through the Internet of Things,” the IoT Evolution Expo offers conference tracks, an IoT exhibition floor, case studies, special events and networking opportunities to help IoT ecosystem and worldwide business leaders learn how to leverage the power of the IoT to transform and move their businesses forward.

The State of IoT: Where Do We Go From Here?, Monday, July 11, 3:00pm, CHC-03. The IoT has come a long way since its inception, but there are still a number of massive obstacles on the road to its mainstream adoption. From security to interoperability, the success of IoT is dependent on solving these hard-to-solve problems. In this session we will discuss the state of IoT, where it’s heading, and what manufacturers of products for the smart home must do to be successful with their connected products.

Mobile Device Trends in the Internet of Things, Monday, July 11, 2:00pm, CHC-02. No one wants 50 different mobile apps to control 50 different things in their smart home or smart health environments. With IoT product manufacturers championing different communications protocols, the challenge is to enable one mobile app to control many devices. This session will explore how IoT platform technologies can achieve interoperability, even if manufacturers never agree on protocol support, while also giving manufacturers greater flexibility to navigate future unknowns.
