ATI Wins Cogswell Security Award

June 10, 2016 | By Business Wire News

SUMMERVILLE, S.C.

Advanced Technology International (ATI) announced today that it has won a James S. Cogswell Outstanding Industrial Security Achievement Award. The Cogswell Award, named in honor of the late Air Force Col. James S. Cogswell, the first Chief of the Unified Office of Industrial Security, is the most prestigious honor the DoD Defense Security Service may bestow to industry. The award recognizes companies that show a sustained degree of excellence and innovation in their overall security program management, implementation and oversight. Nominees go through a vigorous process that includes external vetting, a national team review and approval by the Director of Defense Security Service. Of the more than 13,300 industry contractors with security clearances, less than one percent are annually selected to receive this award.

“We are honored to have been selected for this award,” said ATI President Chris Van Metre. “Information security is critical to our business and we approach it with determined vigilance. We believe it is not enough to enact security policies and procedures. Everyone in this organization receives ongoing, comprehensive user training to ensure that our information – and more importantly, our customers’ information – is kept safe and secure.”
