Associated Industries of Massachusetts 2015 Global Trade Awards Celebrate Local Companies for International Success

The Associated Industries of Massachusetts International Business Council (AIM-IBC) announced winners of its 20th annual Global Trade Awards, which recognize Massachusetts companies and public agencies of all sizes that have demonstrated excellence in international trade. The 2015 honorees, with locations across the region, represent a wide range of Massachusetts industries and include Desalitech, Massport and Hollingsworth & Vose Company.

“Massachusetts companies are key players in the global economy, offering innovative products and services produced in Massachusetts to markets across the globe,” said Richard Lord, president and CEO of AIM. “From providing access to overseas markets with non-stop flights from Boston to offering new environmentally sensitive technologies and products that are critical to a variety of businesses, local companies have developed strategies to be successful globally.”

The three winners of the 2015 Global Trade Awards will be honored at AIM’s 100th Annual Meeting on May 8 at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel. The event will include a keynote address by Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker.

Diplomat’s Award
Desalitech
Newton, MA (Middlesex County)

Founded in 2008 in Israel, Desalitech produces high efficiency water treatment systems to address the global challenge of water scarcity. The company’s ReFlex™ Reverse Osmosis products feature patented technology which typically reduces water treatment waste by 50-70% and energy consumption by up to 35%, saving significant operating costs for industrial and agricultural operations around the world.
