ARC Broward Evolves to Meet Regional Corporate “IT Asset Recovery” Demand

October 27, 2015 | By Business Wire News

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.

ARC Broward Electronics Recycling Services has come a long way since it was established in 2001, particularly since the opening of its secured 25,000 square foot Fort Lauderdale location in 2013. To reflect its growth, the organization will celebrate a new name – “ARC Broward IT Asset Recovery” on October 28th. Current and prospective clients and local government officials are among those who will join the celebration at the facility located near the Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

The mission based enterprise operated by the 60 year old non-profit organization, ARC Broward, has evolved from being an electronics recycler for end-of-life computers, cell phones, and electronics, to a competitive IT asset recovery business that offers a range of services to major corporate clients in the region, including AutoNation, City Furniture, Ultimate Software, Nova Southeastern University and the City of Ft. Lauderdale, to name a few. Services include IT Asset Disposition, Data Security, Full Asset Tracking and Reporting, as well as Electronics Recycling and Pick up Service.

Currently handling over two million pounds of IT assets per year for many of the region’s largest companies, the organization has doubled the number of employees and individuals with disabilities that it trains and places in jobs, from 8 to a total of 35. And it is the only organization in South Florida of its type with the industry’s nationally recognized R2 Certification. Other Certifications include R2, ISO 14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007, NAID (National Association of Information Destruction) and Microsoft Registered Refurbisher. The rebranding effort is significant, because the business model has changed and expanded to reflect the array of services offered.

“It is our mission to help provide opportunities to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a full-service IT Asset Recovery business we are able to serve a broader range of corporate clients, which ultimately benefits the community at large,” said ARC Broward President/CEO Dennis Haas.

ARC Broward IT Asset Recovery is located at 3300 SW 13th Ave., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315. For more information about ARC Broward IT Asset Recovery, visit the new website at www.arcbrowarditasset.com.
