Aqua Leisure Industries Will Aggressively Fight Competition’s Lawsuit

Aqua-Leisure Industries, Inc. today announced that it would aggressively fight the recent litigation filed by SwimWays Corporation. Aqua-Leisure, an industry leader and pioneer in water sport leisure product development since 1970, designs, manufacturers and brings to market multiple lines of high quality performance-based products under a variety of brand names and proprietary designs.

Aqua-Leisure CEO Steve Berenson stated, “Our designs are based on rigorous market research, which includes channel assessment, consumer insight, overall value, performance, quality and innovation. Aqua-Leisure has many of its own patents and/or patents pending in the United States Patent and Trademark Office, many of which counter the claims of SwimWays.”

Aqua-Leisure’s products utilize a contemporary, wireless design that allows the consumer to achieve maximum comfort and buoyancy in a vastly different and better performing product. According to SwimWays, its patents cover floats under the Spring Float® line, a spring wire activated frame design for unfolding its devices. Aqua-Leisure designs do not use any such spring design.

SwimWays’ legal action comes on the heels of Aqua-Leisure winning head-to-head product comparisons for overall performance and comfort. According to Berenson, “We are confident that we will prevail in this litigation in the same manner that we have prevailed in-market with our high quality line of products.”
