Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation Subsidiaries Announce Price Increases

March 2, 2015 | By Business Wire News

PITTSBURGH

Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation (NYSE:AP) announced that its subsidiaries, Union Electric Steel Corporation and Union Electric Steel UK Limited (referred to herein as the “Union Electric Steel Group”), will increase prices on all roll products effective March 1, 2015.

Robert G. Carothers, Chairman and CEO of Union Electric Steel, stated: “For more than five years, the Union Electric Steel Group has reduced pricing to satisfy customer demands and meet market conditions. Over that same period, we have increased efficiency, reduced waste, improved productivity, and lowered expense. At this time, we are unable to continue to bear the cost escalation we are experiencing in our business. Therefore, it is necessary for us to increase prices on all roll products effective March 1, 2015. Prices will increase up to ten percent (10%) for forge and cast roll products as determined on a customer-by-customer basis.”

The matters discussed herein may contain forward-looking statements that are subject to risks and uncertainties that could cause actual results to differ materially from expectations. Some of these risks are set forth in the Corporation’s Annual Report on Form 10-K as well as the Corporation’s other reports filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
