SAN FRANCISCO

San Francisco-based design studio Ammunition has been awarded the prestigious National Design Award for Product Design from Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum. Now in its 17th year, the National Design Awards honor lasting achievement in American design. The Awards are bestowed in recognition of excellence, innovation, and enhancement of the quality of life.

Founded in 2007 and led by partners Robert Brunner, Matt Rolandson, and Brett Wickens, Ammunition is dedicated to the idea of putting design talent at the center of imagining, creating, and operating new product and service ventures. Ammunition places entrepreneurs in close contact with a sixty-person team of designers with expertise in physical and digital product design, service design, brand identity, user experience, graphic design, and packaging. Noteworthy Ammunition projects include Beats by Dr. Dre, June Intelligent Oven, Lyft Glowstache, Polaroid Cube, Square Stand, and UNICEF’s Kid Power Band.

“We are incredibly humbled by this amazing honor from Cooper Hewitt,” said Robert Brunner, founder and partner, Ammunition. “We’ve been so fortunate to work with unbelievable clients and partners who understand what great design can do when you put creative talent in a leadership position. I’m very proud of our team and the fantastic body of work we’ve created together, and we are all excited to continue to push the boundaries of what we can accomplish.”
