Alion Science and Technology Names Kevin L. Cook as Chief Financial Officer

MCLEAN, Va.

Alion Science and Technology, an engineering, technology and operational solutions company, today announced that Kevin L. Cook will become the company’s Chief Financial Officer, effective July 5. Mr. Cook joins Alion from Booz Allen Hamilton, where he has served as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer since 2014.

Mr. Cook brings over thirty years of financial, operational, and management experience to Alion. He began his career in 1978 at Westinghouse Defense and later joined IIT Research Institute, Alion’s predecessor organization. Mr. Cook first joined Booz Allen Hamilton in 1986, and ten years later joined what is now JAMIS Software, one of the largest ERP/finance software vendors supporting government services contractors. He rejoined Booz Allen in 2003 and led various elements of the Finance department including leading the establishment of the company’s shared services infrastructure and playing a leadership role in preparing for and completing the company’s initial public offering (IPO) in 2010. He became Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller in 2008 and was promoted to CFO in 2014.

Mr. Cook earned a B.S. degree with a concentration in Accounting from Towson University in 1977, and an MBA with a concentration in Management in 1981 from the University of Baltimore. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
