AIP Aerospace Turns to Radius as It Grows Globally via Acquisitions

June 8, 2015 | By Business Wire News

BRISTOL, England

AIP Aerospace (AIPA), a world-leading provider of aircraft tooling systems and composite parts, is working with international expansion expert Radius as it grows strategically through divestment acquisitions. Most recently, Radius provided accounting, payroll, compliance and HR advisory support and services as AIPA’s wholly owned subsidiary Ascent Aerospace assimilated new entities in France, Germany, UK, Japan and Spain (and soon to be China).

“As we acquire complementary businesses worldwide we gain access to new markets, new customers and new competencies,” said Steve Littauer, chief financial officer of AIPA. “But with this opportunity comes much complexity, and we’ve come to rely on Radius as an extension of our international team to ensure that we minimize disruptions and quickly capitalize on the synergies.”

AIPA first turned to Radius in 2014 when it acquired AREVA TA’s Aerospace Integration Business and part of Flow International’s business. AIPA needed help with payroll services and HR advisory support for its new operations in France, Germany, UK, Japan and Spain. Radius is now also providing accounting, cash management and compliance support in Japan and Spain.

“AIP Aerospace has established a strong leadership position through a combination of strategic acquisition and organic growth,” said John Clancy, president of Radius. “Our mission is to remove the complexities of assimilating acquisitions as they happen and to ensure that AIPA has the infrastructure in place to capitalize on growth opportunities in new markets as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
