Agile Networks Establishes Statewide Network

July 14, 2015 | By Business Wire News

CANTON, Ohio

Agile Networks (Agile) is excited to announce that The Agile Network now stands as the only statewide open access 1 Gigabit backhaul network offering Last Mile Agility. The Agile Network is a hybrid fiber wireless backhaul network that allows Agile to deliver fiber-grade connectivity with the latest in wireless technologies. Consisting of over 270 towers throughout Ohio and a presence in all 88 counties, The Agile Network delivers high-speed service to rural as well as metropolitan markets at a reliability that exceeds the most stringent industry performance requirements.

“Having a statewide network that can deliver broadband connectivity throughout Ohio including hard to reach rural communities is what we have been working towards,” says Kyle Quillen, Chief Technical Officer and Founder of Agile Networks. “The inclusive nature of our approach has allowed us to rapidly bring together disparate resources to transform telecommunications for Public Safety here in Ohio. Our approach offers a tremendous advantage in speed to deployment, reliability, and performance; which are especially beneficial to customers requiring multi-location connectivity such as government, oil and gas, and mobile carriers. Our transformation of the telecom industry will continue in Ohio as well as in other states as we expand The Agile Network to support their needs.”

The open access nature of The Agile Network enables integration with other telecom providers to assist them in servicing their customers and is versatile for any application and data transport requirement. M3 Midstream LLC (“Momentum”), an energy company that serves oil and gas producers, recently constructed multi-billion dollar natural gas refining plants across multiple locations throughout southeast Ohio. The construction produced state-of-the-art facilities but the rural landscape was unable to offer the necessary telecom infrastructure to support their multi-location operation. Agile provided a solution for their operation by leveraging The Agile Network and Momentum was able to benefit from the fiber-grade wireless network that now connects their Ohio locations in Scio, Kensington, Leesville, and Salineville as well as Momentum’s home office in Durango, Colorado.

“Every time Agile gets a call to action they exceed our expectations and performance requirements,” says Joe Giles, Vice President of Operations for M3 Midstream LLC. “This allows us to focus on our core business of providing flexible, responsive, and reliable midstream services linking the wellhead to the market.” The contribution of efficient connectivity that Agile provides was paramount in making the operation a success. As of today, access controls, security, and surveillance at Momentum’s facilities are supported through the network.

The Agile Network serves as an opportunity for organizations to place their efforts and resources into what is most important for their success while knowing that Agile is focused on the connectivity required to maintain their operations. Old Forge Services, a company based in Mogadore, Ohio, found themselves in a new facility with no high speed broadband available. Theresa Eubanks, President of Old Forge Services, was introduced to Agile and a cost effective solution was executed.

“People underestimate the effect good connectivity can have on a business,” said Eubanks. “Agile solved a problem for us that nobody else was able to. We really appreciate what they’ve done here at Old Forge.” Agile was able to build a monopole on Old Forge’s property to extend the benefits of the network to their operation in rural Ohio. With the appropriate connectivity, Old Forge has been able to expand their business how they envisioned with ample bandwidth to support their phones, Internet, and an IP based security system.

Agile brings the only solution to the marketplace that offers flexible and reliable connectivity that is available to transport data through statewide backhaul at 1 Gig speed. Public Safety, national carriers, businesses, and underserved communities now have access to the benefits of The Agile Network while experiencing considerable savings, efficient communications, and reliability of service. The 911 Operations in Gallia County, Ohio – located in rural southeast Ohio – serves as the perfect example of a partner who has benefited from the statewide network.

“The people at Agile are great to work with,” said Keith Wilson, Deputy Director of Gallia County 911. “They brought us a unique solution when nobody else could, and the improvement in the quality of the service was immediately noticeable. We couldn’t be happier.”
