However, Maverick Leather Company is a family business, first and foremost, – and a family that makes decisions together, stays together. Six short months ago, the owners fell in love with Bend during a visit to see their son in college and decided to see what the rest of their team would think about possibly relocating to the area. After a few trips to decide, the entire staff was sold on the culture of the Pacific Northwest and the wheels of the move were set in motion. Bend is the ideal location for the Maverick Leather Co team, all of who are avid outdoor enthusiasts. The move happened pretty fast, but it wasn’t exactly a hard sell, to be honest. In addition to the brand new location, the new warehouse has twice the amount of space. The headquarters will also have a variety of new features and machinery, including a tannery drum for tempering leather onsite. Maverick Leather now offers strap-cutting services and hopes to incorporate a leatherwork retail space in the future, making them a truly one stop shop for all your leather needs.
