The SnakeEye video inspection camera is available from Canadian Safety Equipment. Suitable for maintenance and inspection, the waterproof camera allows the user to see into spaces that cannot otherwise be reached. It measures 1 in. in diameter and has its own built-in light source. The colour viewing display can be hand held or mounted on a telescoping wand. These telescoping wands come in sizes 2 ft to 4 ft, 4 ft to 7 ft, 6 ft to 11 ft, and 8 ft to 15 ft. The articulating head holds the tiny camera, allowing the viewer to angle the head 360 degrees. In addition, the camera head can be detached and connected to a 100-ft cable to be lowered into a space or well. It also can be attached to a finger-mounted ring clip to allow the viewer to put their hand under water or into a tight space. A video-out jack allows the user to videotape the images. The camera operates from its internal rechargeable battery or an AC adapter. An optional 8-hr battery pack is available.
