Schneeberger has added two quality options to its cross-roller precision linear bearings. Option SQ (Special Quality) is used in high-demand applications such as optical measuring equipment and has a runout of no more than 5 microns over a travel distance of up to 1,800 mm. Option SSQ (Super Special Quality) is used for the most stringent requirements, such as fibre optic splicing equipment, and has a runout of no more than 2.5 microns over a travel distance of 1,200 mm. Cross-roller linear bearings offer extreme smoothness and virtually zero friction in a low-profile package.
