An all-steel, reversible, four-wheel steer trailer designed and built for a large defense contractor on the east coast provides 30-ton capacity with a low deck height. A plate deck welded over a structural tube frame withstands tough industrial applications. The trailer is 192-in. long and 96-in. wide, with a deck height of 29.5 in. A removable loop towing tongue allows towing from either end, eliminating the need for a space-eating turnaround area. Fifth wheels at each end are connected by a structural tube tie rod that allows the trailer to manoeuvre in tight spaces. Twelve wheels spread the load over a larger area to save the floor from excessive load.
