Shock-Freeze Treatment Releases Seized Parts

Loctite Freeze & Release from Henkel is a low-viscosity, spray-on lubricant designed to shock-freeze metal parts, allowing lubricating oils to penetrate into rust layers. As it instantly freezes seized and rusted parts to minus 43C (-45F), hairline cracks form in the rust layer as the metal contracts, allowing the lubricating oil to penetrate by capillary action quickly into the rust layer. After one or two minutes, the assembly is easy to dismantle. The lubricant is available in a 400-ml aerosol can.
