A shaft grounding brush that prevents electrical damage to motor bearings by safely channelling harmful shaft currents to ground has been introduced by Electro Static Technology, an ITW Company. The Aegis SGR (Shaft Grounding Ring) Conductive MicroFiber brush uses Electron Transport Technology to ensure long-term effectiveness of the motors, thereby improving reliability and lowering maintenance requirements for greater lifecycle savings. As the design ensures there is virtually no friction and therefore no wear, the brush will last for normal service life of the motor. In recognition of this, the 2007 Frost & Sullivan Product Value Leadership of the Year Award in the motors and drives domain was presented for the SGR. Electro Static Technology
