The CO version of Industrial Scientific’s T40 Rattler is a low-cost, maintenance-free single gas monitor designed to protect personnel in the most extreme conditions. It detects deadly carbon monoxide presence as a result of incomplete combustion processes in applications such as post-fire overhaul and salvage operations, furnace room checks and steel mill blast furnace monitoring. The unit continuously displays CO (or H2S) readings in ppm on its large LCD screen and alerts the user when gas concentrations exceed factory preset low or high levels. Operating for up to 500 hours on a single AA battery, it clips on a belt, hardhat or suspenders.
