A dual-action fluid reclamation concept is featured in Almco’s DR series filtration system, designed for high-volume heavy stock removal machining and aggressive parts finishing applications. Using a combination of hydrocyclones and an aeration/skimmer, the system is capable of removing all major types of metalworking fluid contaminants, including micron-sized solid particles, tramp oil and other floating matter, and heavy sludge. The DR designation represents the integral dragout conveyor, which is designed to handle the contaminants continuously and with conveyor-like simplicity. Suitable for floor- or pit-mounted installation, the unit outputs from 40 gpm to 400 gpm. Few moving parts and no filter media to buy and replace help deliver reliable, low-cost operation.
