ShopBot, a manufacturer of CNC routing machines that was looking to reduce assembly time and cost for its next generation of compact Buddy CNC machines, has selected a Bishop-Wisecarver linear motion solution for the PowerStick feature of these machines. Bishop-Wisecarver developed a functional prototype, the QuickTrak clamp extrusion, which requires no drilling or fasteners and integrates the company’s DualVee track. This reduced assembly time to just minutes, and significantly increased production capacity. The Buddy with PowerStick was selected as one of 20 finalists in the International Woodworking Machinery & Furniture Supply Fair’s 2008 Challenger Award. Bishop-Wisecarver
